Inspire HCA Nursing App - December 31, 2018

December 2018: Spotlight on… EBSCO Dynamic Health

As of December 31, 2018, the current Lippincott reference app will expire. In replacement, HCA now has access to Dynamic Health(tm), a comprehensive reference app designed to provide relevant clinical resources to nurses and allied health professionals directly at the point-of-care. This free app is available for staff nurses, nurse administrators, nursing students, nurse faculty and allied health professionals within HCA. It offers the best available and most recent clinical evidence for thousands of skills.

The convenience and rich functionality of the app gives users access to:

  • Dynamic Health content offline
  • Nursing practice skills
  • Patient Instruction skills
  • Allied health skills
  • Transcultural care skills
  • Skill checklists for all skills
  • Online access to video content

Our Enterprise Mobility team will push the mobile version to your iMobile devices on December 27th at 8am CST. The app should automatically install upon 'waking' the device and will also be available for download directly from the HCA app store. Lippincott will automatically be removed January 1. Please submit a ticket via ServiceCentral for any issues.

Reminders

  • Requests for third-party apps, integrations, and enhancements are being migrated to a new tool! We appreciate your patience during this pause on intake, more to come in January!
  • Tech Refresh and Optimization efforts will begin at our original 18 facilities in January. Clinical leads and IT Directors have been engaged in preparing for this 8-week project.
  • Be sure to check out the Tableau dashboards for insight into Mobile Heartbeat utilization, consistency of care team assignment, and dynamic role use. Be sure to adjust facility and date filters if you are not seeing your hospital. Provisioning to Tableau is a manual process and we appreciate your patience with the influx of new interest!
