Patient experience: New parents praise HCA Healthcare NICU nurses
Expertise, celebrations, and caring like family mean so much in HCA Healthcare NICUs across the company.
Nearly half a million babies (10-15 percent) born in the United States require care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). And when your baby is in the NICU, each minute can feel like a lifetime.
With more than 90 NICUs across the HCA Healthcare network, our caregivers have provided a gateway to life for thousands of infants born prematurely and have helped support families through education, information and comfort when needed most.
And when the NICU family is one of our own HCA Healthcare colleagues, we have a whole new set of reasons to share the positive impact of their NICU story. What follows is a blog by Adam Mindick of our Clinical Services Group on what he and his wife, Rebecca, experienced with HCA Healthcare NICU nurses after the premature birth of their son, Jace. As is the case in all of HCA Healthcare NICUs, this facility's team was an important part of this couple's first days as parents and Adam and Rebecca have much to say about their NICU experience, the excellent care Jace received, and the making of lifelong friends. Enjoy and continue reading.
